National Instruments Autonomous Robotics Competition

Hosted by National Instruments Corporation since 2011, the multinational competition features over 20 universities from Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia and Singapore. The competition challenges students to design and build robots to autonomously perform a series of tasks varying from year to year. These tasks generally involves navigating an obstacle course, and may involve interactions with specified objects.

Once again, USYD Robotics Club is competing in the NI ARC now with two teams. We are currently awaiting response from NI regarding the competition outlines.

The NI ARC team from the USYD Robotics Club in 2018 was a brand new team formed with Professor David Rye as team supervisor providing advice and support for the team. Our team placed top 12th in the competition.
